Óscares 2018 - Nomeados

As nomeações aos Óscares 2018 já foram revelados. Sem surpresas, "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" e "Shape of Water" são os grandes destaques destas nomeações, sendo que a obra de Del Toro lidera com 13 nomeações. Nas categorias técnicas e a par de "The Shape of Water", "Dunkirk" e "Blade Runner 2049" são os filmes mais nomeados. Quanto a ausências, "In the Fade", que venceu o Globo de Melhor Filme Estrangeiro, não chegou à lista final de Melhor Filme Estrangeiro, já James Franco foi ignorado da lista de Melhor Ator, provando que as alegações de Assédio Sexual, apesar de ainda não terem sido provadas, tiveram influência na corrida aos Óscares. Também o realizador de "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" foi afastado da corrida ao Óscar de Melhor Realizador. Destaque ainda para a ausência de Tom Hanks na corrida ao Óscar de Melhor Ator e à presença, pela primeira vez, de uma mulher na corrida ao Óscar de Melhor Fotografia. Trata-se de Rachel Morrison que recebeu a nomeação por "Mudbound". Destaca-se ainda para o facto do popular basquetebolista Kobe Bryant estar nomeado para Melhor Curta de Animação . O blockbuster "Logan" também recebeu uma nomeação surpresa na categoria de Melhor Argumento Adaptado. Este ano, também arrastado pelo caso de abusos sexuais em Hollywood, Woody Allen voltou a não receber qualquer nomeação para os Óscares. Também o novo de Ridley Scott, "All The Money in The World", que também foi afetado pelo escândalo de Abusos Sexuais devido à presença e posterior  substituição de Kevin Spacey do elenco, acabou por não receber grande atenção por parte da Academia. A excepção foi a nomeação do veterano Christopher Plummer (que substituiu Kevin Spacey) ao Óscar de Melhor Ator Secundário. Plummer é assim o mais velho nomeado nas categorias de representação. O belo documentário "Jane" também não recebeu a esperada nomeação ao Óscar de Melhor Documentário. Ao todo, 59 filmes receberam nomeações aos Óscares, mas vários ainda não estrearam em Portugal, incluíndo os candidatos a Melhor Filme "The Post", "Lady Bird", "Shape of Water" e "Phatom Thead", sendo que todos eles já têm estreias previstas,  Os Óscares serão entregues a 4 de Março de 2018 em Los Angeles.
