Já são conhecidos os nomeados aos BAFTA. Como já se esperava, “Nomadland" lidera as nomeações aos BAFTA's, sendo que também o filme britânico "Rocks" conquistou sete nomeações. Esta obra de Sarah Gavron foi um sucesso indie no Reino Unido e, apesar de internacionalmente não ter tido grande repercussão mediática, certo é que já está a brilhar nos prémios da Academia Birtânica de Cinema. Mas é Hollywood que volta a ter grande presença nos prémios BAFTA, já que para além de "Nomadland", também "The Father", "Promising Young Woman", "The Mauritanian" e "The Trial of the Chicago 7" também conseguiram amplas nomeações. Um destaque também para o drama britânico "The Dig" da Netflix que também conseguiu cinco nomeações. A 74.ª cerimónia de entrega dos BAFTA irá realizar-se no dia 11 de abril.
