A Online Film Critics Society (OFCS) da qual o Portal Cinema é representante anunciou os nomeados para os seus prémios. "The Banshees of Inisherin", "Everything Everywhere All at Once", "The Fabelmans" e "Aftersun" são os filmes mais nomeados,sendo que todos eles lutarão pelo título de Melhor Filme. Os vencedores serão anunciados a 23 de Janeiro.

Entretanto foram já anunciados os vencedores dos Critics Choice Awards."Everything Everywhere All at Once" foi considerado o Melhor Filme, sendo a grande surpresa entre as vitórias nas categorias de cinema. Este filme conquistou também os prémios de Melhor Argumento Adaptado, Melhor Ator Secundário e Melhor Edição. Cate Blanchett venceu o Prémio de Melhor Atriz por "Tár", confirmando assim o seu favoritismo na corrida ao Óscar de Melhor Atriz. "Glass Onions: A Knives Our Mystery" conquistou os prémios de Melhor Elenco e Melhor Comédia.
Os BAFTA também anunciaram as suas nomeações para os prémios de 2023. A Academia Britânica de Cinema nomeou "Everything Everywhere All at Once", "Elvis", "All Quiet on the Western Front", "The Banshees of Inisherin" e "Tár" ao BAFTA de Melhor Filme, deixando de fora, por exemplo, "The Fabelmans"."Empire of Light", "Good Luck to You, Leo Grande", ""The Banshees of Inisherin", "Living", "Matilda the Musical", "See How They Run", "The Wonder", "The Swimmers", "Aftersun" e "Brian and Charles" estão nomeados ao BAFTA de Melhor Filme Britânico. No global, Everything Everywhere All at Once", "Elvis", "All Quiet on the Western Front" e "The Banshees of Inisherin" foram os filmes com mais nomeações conquistadas nas diversas categorias de cinema.
No mundo da animação, "Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio" lidera as nomeações aos Annie Awards, mas o novo "Gato das Batos O Último Desejo" e "Turning Red" também estão entre os filmes mais nomeados. Os nomeados deste ano têm também um toque lusitano – “Ice Merchants“, de João Gonzalez, está na corrida para Melhor Curta. Estreado em Portugal no Porto/Post/Doc ’22, tem sido amplamente bem recebido pela crítica e está inclusive na corrida para ser um candidato final aos Óscares 2023.
